Sardinia has been awarded for the most beautiful sea in Italy
A prestigious award for one of the most enchanting seas in Italy.
” Il Mare più Bello” is one of the most anticipated events of the summer. Guida Blu (The blue guide) is edited by Legambiente and Touring Club Italiano and for over twenty years has been offering an overview of the most fascinating and sustainable Italian seaside resorts, engaged in the management of the territory and the sea, friendly to the environment and harbinger of quality tourist offer.

Sardinia, seaside paradise from north to south
It is not hard to imagine why thousands of tourists, from all over the world, go to Sardinia every year: its sea is one of the most fabulous, crystalline, clear and turquoise, a Caribbean echo in Italy, precious waves that lap white or golden coasts of soft sand, hidden coves and dreamy bays.
The Sardinian sea, from north to south, is one of the most enchanting on the planet, a palette of colours ranging from blue, emerald green to turquoise, with waters so clear as to allow you to admire extraordinary seabeds that tell the rich marine biodiversity of the island, a real Eden for snorkelling.
Among the most beautiful beaches, even if the choice is really difficult, it is impossible not to mention La Pelosa beach, about two kilometres from Stintino, in the northwest of Sardinia, Cala Spinosa in the wonder of Santa Teresa di Gallura, Spiaggia Rosa (with soft pink colours) in Budelli in the Maddalena Archipelago, the Spiaggia del Principe in Arzachena in the charming Costa Smeralda, and Solanas Beach, a few kilometres from Cagliari.
But that’s not all: those who love peace and absolute relaxation away from the crowds, can enjoy unforgettable moments in those suggestive fairytale corners represented by natural pools, some by the sea and easy to reach, others immersed in unique scenarios after paths that can only be reached on foot.
All the charm of South Sardinia and Cagliari
Sardinia is a splendid island with wonderful seas. The exceptional coast is the pride of the south of the island, where some of the most breath-taking beaches, with a tropical soul, stand out.
The southern stretch is characterised mostly by long and wide beaches of fine sand dotted with fragrant Mediterranean scrub and caressed by a sea that defies the word “clear”.
And then Cagliari, the ideal destination for a city break to discover art, history, and culture and to take a dip in the clear waters of Poetto Beach, one of the most popular in the area, frequented by sportsmen, young people and families throughout the year.
In such a context, relaxation is guaranteed and holidays become a dream that can be further improved with a stay at Palazzo Doglio, the refined 5-star hotel in the centre, just ten minutes from the famous beach and at walking distance from all the main attractions of the capital. It’s the perfect location to discover all the surprises that the surroundings can reserve.
