Let’s find out more about the restaurants and boutiques housed within the wonderful Corte Doglio:
Osteria del Forte is an exclusive restaurant that reinterprets it in a modern way the Italian trattoria’s traditional dishes.
The restaurant features elegant classical interiors, in full compliance with safety regulations. Outside, the exclusive dehors fit perfectly into the scenic setting of the elegant Palazzo Doglio complex. The gastronomic proposal combines the island tradition with the innovation of contemporary cuisine, enhancing the typical flavors and aromas of Sardinia. Passion, experience, creativity and local products are what characterize the talent of Executive Chef Alessandro Cocco, head of the Osteria del Forte. A young up-and-comer in Italian cuisine, Alessandro Cocco grew up at Forte Village following great international masters such as Gordon Ramsay – chef and TV celebrity -, and the three-starred Heinz Beck – one of the most authoritative individuals on the cooking scene. Chef Cocco recovers ancient arts such as homemade pasta and modernizes ancient dishes, using seasonal and local products
Saudade is the first Japanese-Brazilian restaurant in Cagliari, therefore a meeting point between two apparently very distant culinary cultures. The fusion menu mixes the delicacy of Japanese flavors with the colors of Brazilian cuisine in a pleasant game of contrasts and contaminations that give life to an authentic explosion of taste. Nikkei burajiru-jin fusion cuisine was born more than a century ago, when the first Japanese immigrants arrived in Brazil. Over time it has evolved to become one of the most popular gastronomic contaminations. At Sushi Saudade, Japan meets Brazil with colorful, fragrant and tasty dishes, in which exotic South American fruit blends perfectly with typical Japanese cuisine.
Maiori is the pizzeria in Cagliari where guests find the best products from Campania and Sardinia, used to always create new tasty results. The highlight of the menu is the Neapolitan pizza by chef Emanuele Riemma – who leads the Maiori Cagliari Contemporary Cocktails & Traditional Pizza brigade – paired with the cocktails of bartender Antonio Varotto who defines himself as an “alcoholic consultant”. According to the prestigious Guide to the Best Pizzeria in the World, the pizza is soft, well leavened, very digestible and with a strong flavor despite its lightness. Similarly, Varotto’s cocktails have allowed Maiori to win the coveted Ampolla D’oro Award for the Best Distillates List for a Pizzeria, awarded by the Italian guide Spirito Autoctono.
