Doglio Flower Market Roses Edition, the flower market in the heart of Cagliari
The new edition of the Doglio Flower Market dedicated to the Rose is about to begin.
Sunday, May 21st from 10 am to 3 pm, Corte Doglio will host the second edition of the Doglio Flower Market, the suggestive flower market in the heart of the Sardinian capital. Corte Doglio is the splendid internal courtyard of Palazzo Doglio, an elegant 5-star hotel in the centre of Cagliari for those who want to enjoy a pleasant holiday of comfort, relaxation and accessible luxury.
In the 2023 edition, the absolute protagonist will be the Rose, exhibited in all its varieties and fragrances thanks to the precious collaboration of the Sgaravatti Garden.
It is a wonderful place to meet, and browse but also buy plants, products and exclusive floral arrangements, deepen your knowledge and let children discover new paths of creativity.
Many new features will be presented this year, including the olfactory workshop dedicated to Marie Antoinette by Dessy Parfum and the Arts and Crafts workshops in English!
From 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., you’ll explore “Marie Antoinette’s favourite perfume” with historical and literary notes on the Rose in perfumery, focusing on the various types of roses and the methods of extraction of essences, and sensory analysis exercise with a personal and professional description of the types of roses used in perfumery (the rose of Grasse and the Damescena rose), olfactory differences and breakdown into its main molecules with particular attention to the contribution they make individually in the complete natural essence.
In addition, there will be a practical-creative moment in which, starting from a rose base, each participant can add the individual notes discovered during the previous session, to enhance the olfactory characteristic of the rose they prefer.
At the end of the experience, everyone will have created their own rose perfume that can be used to impregnate porous supports such as paper roses and ceramic pods to use as scent diffusers.
All participants will be given a paper brief on which to take notes and store scented mouillettes, disposable pipettes and a 10 ml sample bottle home the perfume, and support to impregnate with the fragrance made.
A coffee station will be also available, maximum of 6 participants, 65 euros per person, reservation is required at lucia@dessyarfum.com

The Doglio Flower Market will be open to all from 10 am to 3 pm with a sale and display of roses under the refined care of Sgaravatti Garden in Corte Doglio.

“Pepe Bianco Flower Edition”:
Inspired by the elegant Milanese tradition of Orticola headgear, a refined selection of floral-themed hats, handmade with natural fibres from Pepebianco, arrives in the court.

Rose Masterclass
Gardening course on the Rose by Ing. Maurizio Usai, garden designer.
