Hervé Tullet for the first time in Sardinia at Palazzo Doglio
“The genius of rediscovered childhood” arrives on the island with an innovative participatory artistic project for children of all ages.
In the fabulous setting of Santa Margherita di Pula, about forty minutes away from Cagliari, the award-winning Forte Village Resort will be the scene of an exciting participatory artistic project that will involve children of all ages.
Hervé Tullet, the French artist and children’s author known as “the genius of rediscovered childhood”, returns to Italy and lands for the first time on the island, from July to September, with a new stage of his great exhibition “Expo Idéale” (which saw participants all over the world) and with an unpublished project, the “Forte Village’s Art Academy by Hervé Tullet”.
The engaging collaborative art project
Internationally acclaimed and winner of various awards for children’s literature, Tullet gives life to works that favour the interaction and involvement of the reader instead of passive fruition and the path to narration and have at their origin collaborative art.
At the base of his method, there is the intuition that the power of creation lies in the creative process, in which the passage from idea to action generates real surprises for the eyes, and not in aesthetics.
This summer, Forte Village’s Art Academy hosts for the first time in Sardinia the Maestro and his ambitious project of the Expo Idéale with the precious collaboration of Museo in erba, the Swiss museum institution dedicated to children.
For the occasion, children will be welcomed in the spaces of the resort by brushes and canvases, to give free rein to the imagination and draw, inspired by the art of Hervé, dots, lines, doodles and spots that will allow them to experiment with simple gestures, shapes and colours.
Once realized, the works will be delivered to Tullet’s staff who will provide an interpretation and transform them into an Expo Idéale, a work-in-progress exhibition that never ends, a format designed as a place of experimentation for children and adults in which to take flight to their imagination and creativity.
Magic dice, Sumo wrestlers, Paths and windows, painting in music, Flowery Meadow, “Draw” + “Who is the fastest”, “The maxi traffic jam” are just some of the ateliers that will take place at Forte Village’s Art Academy by Hervé Tullet and that will contribute to the creation of the Expo Idéale.
Finally, the exhibition will be exposed to the public at Palazzo Doglio, a charming 5-star hotel in the heart of Cagliari, in the presence of the Museo in Erba staff who will accompany and present the project in view of the reopening of schools in September with a large workshop open to all, adults and children.
