Blue Notes in Cagliari: all the information you need
The appointment with great international music arrives on the stage of Teatro Doglio.
Blue Note Off, the original format of Blue Note Milano, is an elegant jazz club (opened in 2003 to bring to other locations the great jazz music of the historic venue in Via Borsieri) where spectators can enjoy the performances of internationally renowned artists and experience, at the same time, refined cuisine with over 200 cocktails and liqueurs and a wide selection of Italian and French wines. It now lands for the first time in Sardinia for “Blue Notes in Cagliari”, the event in collaboration with Teatro Doglio that will bring the best Italian and international artists to the beautiful island.
Blue Note Milano is part of the “Blue Note” network, one of the most famous jazz clubs in the world, together with the historic Blue Note Jazz Club of Greenwich Village in New York, the Blue Note of Tokyo, Nagoya in Japan, Beijing in China, and the Blue Note of Honolulu in Hawaii, Rio de Janeiro and Napa in California.
The first appointment is scheduled for Friday, March 24th with Nick the Nightfly, artistic director of Blue Note Milano as well as refined British musician, singer and DJ. He is known for the radio program “Monte Carlo Nights” on Radio Monte Carlo and will take the stage with “Nick the Nightfly & Friends feat. Simona Bencini & Maggie” where she will present her latest show “Hey! Mr Bacharach“, dedicated to the greatest successes of the American pianist, composer and record producer Burt Bacharach, who died last January. The three Academy Awards, six Grammys and author of countless successes in cinema and Broadway, is considered one of the greatest songwriters of the twentieth century.
On stage next to the well-known Scottish vocalist, the famous Simona Bencini, the historical voice of “Dirotta Su Cuba”, and Maggie Charlton, born in 1997, who, despite her very young age, already has to her credit several important stages and illustrious collaborations with Sarah Jane Morris, Karima, Vanessa Haynes and Tony Momrelle.
Sunday, May 7th will be the turn of Matthew Lee a composer, pianist and performer with overwhelming energy.
With his charisma and virtuosity, he enchanted the American and international public becoming a symbol of the swing and rock’n’roll spirit and coming to represent the Italian songwriting inspired by the world of the fifties with stars and stripes.
The young artist who inflames audiences all over the world boasts over 1200 live concerts and 7 albums published.
Nick the Nightfly will also serve as the host for both nights.
The beauty of Teatro Doglio, a location of excellence
The appointment with the great international music on the island lands in the wonderful setting of Teatro Doglio, a true architectural pearl of the Sixties in the center of Cagliari, found by chance during the renovation of the adjacent Palazzo Doglio.

Teatro Doglio can accommodate from 100 to 1000 people and is the perfect location for conferences and events thanks to the three meeting rooms, the latest generation equipment, the external and internal foyer, and an enchanting winter garden.
