Francesca Michielin: the great success of “Bonsoir!-Michielin10 a teatro” and the new album
The artist’s first theatre tour stop in Cagliari and the new recording project Cani Sciolti
The Cagliari date of Francesca Michielin’s first theatre tour on the stage of Teatro Doglio, “Bonsoir!-Michielin10 a teatro“, was sold out and was a great success.
The tour celebrates the Bassano del Grappa’s artist’s 10 years career in some of the most historical and magical theatres in Italy and allows her to embrace her audience and to present, for the first time on stage, the unpublished songs of the new album “Cani Sciolti”, arrived three years after the last studio album, Feat (Stato di Natura), along with the greatest hits of her amazing career.
Francesca Michielin enchants the Teatro Doglio’s audience
Saturday, March 4th, the singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist among the most acclaimed of the contemporary music scene, delighted the Sardinian public with a 90 minutes overwhelming performance. Allowing herself no interval she also improvised singing acoustically with the complicity of the bassist and a band of great depth. A technical problem related to the sound mixers turned into moments of pure enchantment for the audience.
Moved by the Sardinian public’s warmth and charm, Francesca did not miss the opportunity to thank them several times both live and on social media and showed great generosity both on stage and outside stopping (still breathless after the intense concert) for the signing of the new album, welcoming more than two hundred fans in the splendid setting of the winter garden of Teatro Doglio.
A little anecdote: she had requested a light pre-concert dinner, chicken breast and grilled vegetables but, after tasting “the best fried calamari” of her life for lunch signed by chef Cocco of Osteria del Forte, she changed his mind opting for another frittura!
“Cani Sciolti”, a singer-songwriter journey
12 tracks make up the new album. Francesca has personally taken care of every single step, from the writing to the arrangement up to the production.
The songs reveal a sincere, intimate and shameless character: the singles Bonsoir and Occhi grandi grandi are accompanied by the song Un bosco and nine unpublished songs.
“Cani Sciolti”, recorded in Bassano del Grappa and finished in Milan, sees the artistic direction of Francesca Michielin and Giovanni Pallotti, the mixing of Ricky Damian, Pino Pinaxa and Gigi Barocco.
The tracks are “raw and naked” with no superstructures and very often created with a remarkable grunge attitude. These are:
- Occhi grandi grandi
- Un bosco
- Padova può ucciderti più di Milano
- Ghetto perfetto
- Quello che ancora non c’è
- Piccola città
- Claudia
- Verbena
- D.punto
- Bonsoir
- Carmen
- Non sono io la tua solitudine
Even the album cover fully reflects the character of the project and reflects the cover art of the artist’s previous albums.
The booklet, in the form of a diary, is written and drawn by Francesca.
“Cani Sciolti” opens 2023 after a 2022 full of successes and satisfactions for the singer-songwriter: she debuted as a writer with her first novel “Il cuore è un organo” and conducted the television program “Effetto terra” on Sky Nature as well as the sixteenth edition of X Factor, 10 years after her victory as a competitor.
